Social Impact Project Internship

The Art of Making Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the creation of positive social impact through community initiatives and hands-on learning experiences. We believe that the most effective way to make a difference is by empowering young people to become active citizens and leaders in their communities.

To this end, we are excited to announce the launch of our Social Impact Internship program for college students. This program provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on a range of social impact projects, from addressing local environmental issues to supporting marginalized communities.

Here are 20 of the social impact projects that students will have the opportunity to work on as part of this program:

  1. STEAM Education for Underserved Communities: A project focused on bringing STEAM education to underprivileged communities, using hands-on activities and workshops to help students build their skills and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
  2. Women Empowerment through Digital Literacy: A project aimed at empowering women in underserved communities by teaching them digital skills and providing access to technology. This project will help women develop the tools they need to participate fully in the digital economy.
  3. Improving Employability for Youth in Rural Areas: A project focused on training young people in rural areas in the skills they need to find employment, including resume writing, job searching, and interview skills.
  4. Livelihoods for Underserved Communities: A project aimed at improving the economic prospects of underserved communities by providing training and support in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business development.
  5. Gender Equality in the Additive Manufacturing Space: A project aimed at promoting gender equality in the additive manufacturing sector by training women in the skills they need to participate in the industry and advocating for their inclusion in the workforce.
  6. STEAM Education for Girls: A project focused on encouraging girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics by providing them with hands-on learning experiences and mentorship from female professionals in the field.
  7. Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship: A project aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs by providing them with training, mentorship, and access to resources, helping them to grow their businesses and reach their full potential.
  8. Improving Employment Opportunities for Disabled Youth: A project focused on helping young people with disabilities find employment by providing them with training, support, and access to resources that will help them succeed in the workforce.
  9. Livelihoods for Women in Rural Areas: A project aimed at improving the economic prospects of women in rural areas by providing training and support in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business development.
  10. Gender Equality in the Technology Industry: A project aimed at promoting gender equality in the technology industry by advocating for women’s inclusion in the workforce and providing training and mentorship to help them succeed in their careers.
  11. STEAM Education for Low-Income Students: A project focused on providing STEAM education to low-income students, using hands-on activities and workshops to help them build their skills and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
  12. Women Empowerment through Leadership Training: A project aimed at empowering women by providing them with leadership training and opportunities to develop their skills, helping them to become confident, effective leaders in their communities.
  13. Improving Career Opportunities for Undereducated Youth: A project focused on helping young people who have not completed their education find employment by providing them with training, support, and access to resources that will help them succeed in the workforce.
  14. Livelihoods for Women in Urban Areas: A project aimed at improving the economic prospects of women in urban areas by providing training and support in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business development.
  15. Gender Equality in the Construction Industry: A project aimed at promoting gender equality in the construction industry by advocating for women’s inclusion in the workforce and providing training and mentorship to help them succeed in their careers.
  16. STEAM Education for Rural Students: A project focused on providing STEAM education to students in rural areas, using hands-on activities and workshops to help them build their skills and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
  17. Women Empowerment through Skill Development: A project aimed at empowering women by providing them with training and support in a variety of skills, including financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership, and digital literacy. This project will help women develop the tools they need to participate fully in the economy and achieve their full potential.

  2. Livelihoods for Women in the Agriculture Sector: A project aimed at improving the economic prospects of women in the agriculture sector by providing training and support in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business development.
  3. Gender Equality in the Manufacturing Industry: A project aimed at promoting gender equality in the manufacturing industry by advocating for women’s inclusion in the workforce and providing training and mentorship to help them succeed in their careers.

The mode of the Social Impact Internship program is designed to be flexible and accommodating for students, with options for virtual and in-person experiences. This allows students to participate in the program regardless of their location and personal circumstances.
